Become the leader you were meant to be.
Executive coaching to help startup leaders solve their most important challenges and perform at their highest potential.
Hi! I'm Brian.
I am an executive coach who helps early-stage founders grow into more effective leaders. I previously started and ran Fitocracy, one of the largest fitness social networks of its time, and sold it in 2015. Afterwards, I joined 500 Startups as a venture partner and later led major product initiatives at Credit Karma and Eaze.
I have coached founders and leaders of early stage startups that have raised money from Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, Y Combinator, Techstars, RRE Ventures, and 500 Startups. They span across fintech, health & wellness, enterprise, SMB, gaming, and ecommerce, among others.
Clients come to me because they feel stuck somewhere in achieving their goals. My job is to help them identify what's blocking them and take a new approach so they can succeed. If that describes your situation, let’s chat.
Here’s how I can help
Increase your performance as a leader
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to leadership. To succeed, you need to dive deep inside yourself so you can understand what’s tripping you up and where your unique advantages lie. Together, we’ll boost your self-awareness and build new insights so that you can move with clarity and purpose.
Take refuge from the chaos
As a leader, the pressure to succeed can take an enormous toll on your confidence and sense of self. Coaching provides you with a safe, private container where you can be completely honest and vulnerable. It's only from there can you grow more resilient, gain insight, and take control.
Get Equipped with practical tools
My years as a founder, investor, and operator have taught me how to effectively manage teams and most importantly, myself. As my client, you will get all the tools I know to make better decisions, communicate more effectively, and lead your team with focus.
Create forward momentum
When you're navigating uncertainty, it's easy to get stuck along the way. And then everything slows down. I will help develop the goals most important to you, identify what's blocking you, and hold you accountable to taking specific actions so you can keep moving forward.

“Brian is extremely helpful.
In the past I've been interested in coaching (it's definitely therapeutic to talk about problems with an objective third party) but a little skeptical of how much improvement it would actually make in the quality of my life and work. Brian does an amazing job translating ideas in conversations to tactical improvements you can make to be a better collaborator, leader, and friend. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone seeking coaching.”
Elliott Perry, stream labs
“A coaching call with Brian is like an oasis amid the chaos of life; time set aside to deep dive on the things most important to you and come to realizations that lead to actions with impact.
Whether it be breaking through professional plateaus, optimizing personal development or even just sharing feelings that are difficult to find a safe space to voice elsewhere, Brian is your steward to navigating everything on your mind.
Considering coaching but unsure? Take the first call with Brian. Future you will thank today you.”
Dave Yen, NewCo
“What I really appreciate about Brian is that he’s been a founder before. I know that when I’m talking to him about my experiences and the day-to-day rollercoaster of being a founder, he truly gets it; yet he still offers a unique perspective, along with operating frameworks, to help me problem solve and better manage my stress. I always feel better after a coaching session with him.”
Max Coleman, Daocloud
“Brian has saved me a ton of time, money, and pain. Having been a successful founder, he not only knows what it's like to be in my shoes, but he has also gone much further down the path. It's invaluable to have a resource like him. He's great at boiling down the most important and impactful areas to focus on, and in doing so makes the best use of our time together.”
